عمل كأخصائي جراحة المسالك البولية في المستشفى الأكاديمي الخاص بكلية الطب بجامعة مرمرة بين ديسمبر 2005 ونوفمر 2006. عمل كأخصائي في مستشفى ساكاريا للتدريب والبحث (SEAH) التابع للجمهورية التركية وزارة الصحة بين نوفمبر 2006 وأيلول 2010.
يعمل الأستاذ المشارك الطبيب فكرت فاتح أونول كمدرس لجراحة المسالك البولية ويقدّم التدريب للأطباء المقيمين منذ سبتمبر 2010 وحتى الآن. في عام 2012 ، أنهى بنجاح الامتحان وحصل على لقب أستاذ مشارك في جراحة المسالك البولية. يجيد اللغة الإنجليزية على مستوى عالي ويحمل شهادة معادلة من اللجنة التعليمية للخريجين الأجانب من كليات الطب في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية (ECFMG) وحائز على شهادة FEBU (Fellow of the European Board of Urology) من لجنة جراحة المسالك البولية في الاتحاد الأوروبي. يتابع الأستاذ المشارك الطبيب ف. فاتح أونول مؤتمر الرابطة الأمريكية لجراحة المسالك البولية (AUA) الذي يعقد سنويًا في مدن مختلفة من الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية منذ عام 2001 ويشارك كمتحدث في القضايا المتعلقة بمجال خبرته. وهو أيضًا عضو في الجمعية الأمريكية لجراحة المسالك البولية (AUA) والجمعية الدولية للتحكم البولي (ICS).
