Prof. Dr. Ş. Yavuz ÖNOL
Prof. Dr. Ş. Yavuz Önol served as a chief assistant, an assistant professor, an associate professor and a professor at various positions at the Turkish Armed Forces and conducted training and research activities and worked as a faculty member and clinic chief during his 33-year service before retiring as a senior colonel. Afterwards, he resumed his training activities as a urology clinic chief and urology department head. At these positions, he contributed to the education of many urologists. During his career, he has made 427 publications and proceedings at national and international venues. In addition, he is known for the two surgical techniques he had developed: TURC (Total Utilization of Retroperitoneum for Colpopexy) technique and ONOL technique.
Doç. Dr. F. Fatih ÖNOL
Having completed his medical specialty in urology at the Department of Urology of the Faculty of Medicine at Marmara University, Dr. F. Fatih Önol attended the clinical observership program at the Department of Urology of Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, the US, between 2001 and 2002. He went through the general surgery rotation at the same university between March and June 2002. In 2003, he worked as the clinical observer at the Department of Urology of the University of Pennsylvania (UPENN) Hospital and the Department of Pediatric Urology of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), located in Philadelphia, the US.
